Monday 29th July
Our first day at Camp 2024 was truly out of this world! We went travelling around space for a whole range of activities. The children loved exploring the Echelford grounds in the glorious sunshine.
Just like last year, the children were able to choose what activities they wanted to do, some chose to do an activity a couple of times while others preferred to try everything that was on offer. Popular activities included avoiding comets (dodgeballs) and planet hopping, which was set up as an incredible obstacle course that the children loved.
We saw lots of children bring their artistic skills to camp today as they created paper mache planets, alien masks and even giant rocket ships! Make sure you check out our Camp Photo Gallery to see some of the amazing things we have made throughout the day! We also spent some time attempting to contact aliens creating and decoding secret outer space messages!
Tomorrow’s theme is Superheros! Your child is more than welcome to come to Camp in super hero attire to fully immerse themselves in the day; but be mindful it is due to be a very hot day so this should still be suitable for the weather. As per communication sent, we will be hosting a superhero water fight so children may bring a water pistol and need a towel and a change of clothes!
