Out of this World day

Today was indeed out of this world as we have been travelling around space for all of our different activities.

During our Arts & Crafts sessions we have been busy making weird and wonderful alien masks, zooming rockets. Our older children have put their artistic skills to the test, creating images that combine to make a whole picture by making space thaumatropes. As part of our Big Art session we created giant Space Rockets and Aliens (used later in the water fight).

Everyone spent some time exploring the Saxon site looking for various aliens, including Stitch and Lem (from Planet 51). Our Scavenger Hunt also included a variety of spaceships and space rockets.

In our Sports Specialist session we played some Kwik Cricket in the hall, with some of our Batsman it was definitely kwik! Our favourite part of the day, however, was definitely the water fight. Many of us took advantage of the fact that Summer Camp staff were already feeling hot in the summer sun and were not afraid to enter in to the danger zone!

Tomorrow our theme is Spy Kids and all children need to bring a tuppaware dish for one of our activities.
