Day 12 - Inside Out
We've been full of Joy today!
We've had all emotions today - Joy, Anger, Disgust, Fear and Sadness, and we have created many core memories together.
The children have played some fantastic games in their emotions teams, all linked to our theme. They have played football, hockey (Riley's favourite sport), an Inside Out invasion game and Clean your Mind, a version of Clean Your Room, but with an Inside Out twist.
It has been lovely to see the children be so creative today, using the construction materials to make their own people and show the emotions in their brains. They were also able to demonstrate how our emotions lead us to create core memories, those special moments we will never forget.
In Arts and Crafts children have made Inside Out character masks and puppets, as well as Inside Out handprint paintings to show all of the emotions. We've had two big art projects running alongside all of our activities today which we were delighted to be able to have everyone involved in. Children have made their own tie-dye t-shirts in the colours of the different emotions from Inside Out, and have created their own set of Lumen Rocks! We hope that children choose to keep these safe at home or hide them whilst they are out for a walk with their family, as part of the local Surrey Rocks initiative (further information about this initiative is available at https://www.facebook.com/groups/surreyrocks).
